Decent Airport Hotel, But It Has a Few Negatives

I stayed at this hotel in March 2024. I was traveling from Italy to the United States and had to spend one night at Dublin Airport. What I did like was that when I arrived (it was already 11:30 p.m. after I had exited the arrivals hall), there was a phone right there in Terminal 2 with which I was able to call the hotel and they were able to send their driver to pick me up, which was great. I'm sure there must also be one in Terminal 1 as well. The staff were all friendly and the room was clean comfortable. However, there were a few negative things about the hotel as well. First of all, I wanted to get something from the vending machines, but none of them were working. Secondly, while the bathroom was clean, I could not manage to figure out how to regulate the temperature of the water in the shower - I only managed to get about 5 to 10 seconds of hot water, which was unpleasant having to take a shower with cold water! Finally, there were three power outlets in my room, none of which were working! If they could just do something to fix these negatives, the hotel would be better. So while it's certainly not the worst airport hotel, it's not the best airport hotel, either. So I will say that my stay was average. I guess I would recommend it but it would be great if they could try to change the negative things that I mentioned in this review.

Closest to the Airport in Dublin

Very close to the airport and you don't need to use the shuttle. Check in was easy and warmly greeted at reception, I had booked through a 3rd party and I find when I do that I am put on floor 1 which is below the main level of the hotel. The view is over a courtyard which badly needs attention -it could be a very nice spot for guests to enjoy but debris and overgrowth of plants let it down. Beds comfortable enough and linen is nice and was glad there were extra pillows in the closet. Decent WiFi and room amenities -had a room with a shower. Opted for breakfast and it was not as good as before with most of the hot entires being tepid and the black pudding was inedible, bacon was stiff Nice selection of fruit and yoghurt and cereals and also items to toast. The coffee was hot and very strong. Staff were lovely and attentive. Dined in the pub the evening before and they were able to improvise a chicken burger as there are very limited gluten free options which was very nice of them. They forgot my son's soup and that was brought after he had finished his meal. Nice bright room with a pleasant vibe and the staff were friendly and welcoming.

Have you ever seen a radiator before?

Over priced rude staff. Only good point is its so close to the airport. The heating was broken we didn't get offered a new room, the maintenance lady was so angry she had to bring us a mini radiator. After trying to prove we where "idiots" by showing us the radiator on the wall and asking have we never seen a radiator before that is our heating and then trying to turn it on only to see it is in fact broken...aye we've seem a radiator usually they work 🫥 Breakfast was OK but really expensive. Nearly 200 for one night is not worth it. Its not 4 star and it definitely isn't sound proof. Premier Inn Belfast is 5 star compared to this. If they hadn't been cheeky we wouldn't have said anything, but Irish weather isn't exactly the Bahamas so you need your heat.

5 minute walk to terminal 2. 2 minutes in the shuttle (provided for free by the hotel). 5 minutes to terminal 1 in the hotel shuttle. Quick check in. Big rooms with comfortable beds, tea and coffee, great shower and wake up-call facility (appreciated for an early flight!). Lovely lobby with lots of food options. Generally a great airport hotel - thank you!
